Hello Friends,
Few days back I was removing an antivirus and accidently I disable some service from 'msconfig', and as a curse I lost my Search Copanion, Skype & Music Player.
I struggled to fix this bug for a week and found something interesting.
Steps to follow:
-------------------
1. Login as Administrator or equivalent.
2. Click Start, Run. Execute the following commands:
regsvr32 /i %windir%srchasstsrchui.dll
regsvr32 %windir%system32jscript.dll
You should see the message DllRegisterServer in <filename.dll> succeeded. for each DLL registered.
Logoff and login back (just in case the changes don’t take effect) and check if the Search Companion User Interface is displayed correctly. If it doesn’t, repair the search assistant components using Srchasst.inf.
-------------------
Well, it's worked for me in just with DLL files..
