Facebuy is the brainchild of our prudent client, who wanted to stimulate the pre-existing social media network into an effective ecommerce platform.
This crystal application helps you sell your extra pair of headphones or bid for concert tickets from the comfort of your iPhone. It helps you explore varied products from pre-defined product categories and recommend them to your friends. The app works with iOS 6 and further and is compatible with iPhone (3GS onward), iPad touch (4 onward) and iPad.

All registered users can put up items for auction, and define starting bid, price interval, price ceiling and time period for auction. Buyers can either bid for products or directly buy them at specified selling prices through the Buy it Now option. This auction based application was developed using the reliable Magento Platform and MySql backend. This innovative concept required the following customizations:

• Search functionalities- These assist in personalizing searches based upon Facebook Friends, Auction Timelines and Location.

• Customization of Auction Extension- The auction extension usually allows only one display image. Our team customized this tool as per client demand, so as to display multiple images for a particular product.

• User and Product Rating- This tool helps building credibility of seller and product. Users can rate products and other users.

• Messaging- Instant messaging option is integrated to allow interaction among buyer and seller.

• News Session- This feature helps notify registered users about friends, product feedbacks, bids received and bids placed/accepted.

• Jabber Integration- To allow real time pop-ups. This would help display the above mentioned updates.

• Product Recommendation- We created an algorithm to automatically prompt related products (of the same category) when user creates a new sales item.

• Seller Analytics- The application offers cumulative analysis of all sales made by the specific user.

• Payment and Commission- By asking for PayPal account details during registration and using PayPal pro, we ensure a convenient payment process. By virtue of this payments can be deposited to owners account and fixed commission to Admin account.

• Product Recommendation and Wish-list – The application prompts users about items based on their previous purchases. Users can also add items to a wish-list.
