Over 17 years, Evon Technologies, a leading software development company in India, has stood solid in its domain, providing exceptional software product engineering services to clients from all over the world. How do we measure our success? We measure the success of our technology solutions but only when combined with the satisfaction of learning. A learning curve converting into a successful project matters! A proud working team is a success for us, as are reputed clients who trust us with their projects, again and again.
This prologue is important to understand as we announce our latest work engagement with Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL). Before that, here are some of the recent notable successes in our journey of nearly two decades.
Automobile Industry - from 8 to 100+
All too suddenly, Digital Transformation became the buzz word when the COVID pandemic required greater digital capabilities in work operations of companies. To increase its audience reach, an Indian automobile major wanted us to create secure applications and international business websites for them.
The very first step was a steep learning curve. Our developers had to learn all about Sitecore, a closed-source software platform, and deliver a part of the product in a few weeks’ time. The successful delivery of the product evidenced our team’s sincerity and level of commitment.
However, Sitecore was a very expensive platform. Evon had the expertise to solve this problem for the client! We proposed a shift from Sitecore to Liferay, a digital experience platform, for the client’s digitization in one of the neighboring countries. The decision and the switch were not easy but the major advantage of bringing down the cost of the project to 1/10th of the original stood above all. The result was another successful delivery of a project, this time helping our client cut costs significantly!
Going forward, we realized centralized data (large databases) was hard to scale so we had to segregate the data according to different regions and migrate it to Liferay. Over time, we were able to make the data independent, proving that the solution we had suggested was scalable and the right choice for fulfilling the client’s requirements.
Ever since, we have been successfully helping the automobile major build secure mobile applications and international business websites across countries, automating manual processes, reducing errors, and improving their overall productivity and efficiency. As the number of projects we were assigned increased, so did the strength of our team - from 8 to 100+.
Defence Sector - Delivering Tech with Pride
The Defence Sector was looking for solutions in Communication Technology, for land, air and sea. Software Defined Radio (SDR) used to be hardware once, and is now software. The defence scientists have been working on this technology for years to build radios in India. (Earlier the radios were imported. Now, due to security risks associated with buying tech from outside, they are made in India.)
The successful and ongoing association with the Defence Sector began at an academia-industry meet, where the Defence Services shared their roadmap for the coming 15 - 20 years, in order to see how the industry could help them. Participants from the industry displayed their solutions, like antennas. The academia presented technologies like 6G.
Evon Technologies was engaged for building applications on top of their existing software/OS. Despite it being our first foray into communication technology, we had the bull by the horns. We offered live video-audio streaming with configurable bit rate going up to 16 hops, giving a speed of 1mbps. They tested it, liked it, and wanted to give us more opportunity!
Today, we are porting 2 waveforms from one hardware to two different hardwares. Our team also manages their platform software/OS. Mostly working with Xilinx and Vivado and multiple core processors and microcontrollers.
During our engagement we also realised that the sector faces unique problems with the vendors it works with. Typically, a vendor brings in a new team and the defence team trains them. Surprisingly for us, vendors were taking this opportunity for granted; the opportunity to help our defence services - which should be a matter of pride.
Evon’s team believes it an honor to work for the defence services. Our ongoing Communication Technology project is celebrated as a success at home, not just because we deliver expert technology solutions but also because our versatile team takes all challenges on its chin and the learnings to heart. The sincerity of the government scientists helps us better ourselves and give it our all.

Most recently, Evon Technologies is very excited to become the L1 vendor for providing advanced technology services to RIL’s Exploration and Production (ENP) department. This long term onsite commitment in Mumbai is for areas like full stack, architecture, Devops, microservices, QA, mobility, Big Data/Hadoop, UI UX, among others.
