Here’s the complete list of Microsoft 2019 Partner of the Year Award Winners and Finalists
Evon, a software consulting and development company in India, worked with Sensei in two phases. The first phase began in 2013 after Sensei approached Evon to hire a tech team to work on Sensei Task Master app. The client agreed on a fixed price model for availing the software development and testing services from Evon.
Evon’s tech team successfully built the mobile app for Android, iPhone and Windows mobile platforms that allowed to submit timesheets and report task progress in Microsoft Project Online while on the go. Seeing smooth functionality and problem-solving of the Sensei Task Master app, Microsoft acquired it in 2015, which was great news for our software development outsourcing company that time too. But, there were challenges too that Evon’s tech team faced while building the app for Windows, Android and iOS platforms. For example, Project Server 2013 was new that time and making the app work slickly in the new environment was one of the challenges.
The second phase began in January 2018 after the Sensei client got back to Evon to reintroduce the app, make changes to the UI and others. There was a very strict and short deadline for completing the client’s tasks, but as the same team that worked previously on the app was available this time as well - thanks to low attrition rate at Evon - the Turn Around Time (TAT) was very low and Evon was able to deliver well on time.
However, as this time there was a different person of contact and team at the client’s side, some extra time went in transition. But that didn’t impact the project much as the talented team of Evon quickly understood the requirements and delivered what the client exactly expected. Evon never leaves a company it works with and is always available for further development in the ever-evolving software world.
The Sensei app is now available on the Play Store and App Store under the name of Sensei Time Reporter.
